THE BEACH (2000)

    

      Reported the movie. What happen?

Richard is an adventurous who live in thailand he moves from side to side searching for a new experiences when a man called pato lucas told him about a secret beach decide to start a trip with Françoise and her boy friend. Richard with the map in his hands he persuades to them and travel into Thailand until arrives a place where it can not be cross with a boat and they start to swim. They were impressed with the beuty of the beach but they was not know that his island was populate by other people and that this people were armed, they were able to escape and they met a man who lived in this island and he belonged a secret community that were happy living in this place without a some tecgnology and confort. 
The people that lived in the beach received Richard and his friends, in this place everyone was a function some persons cooked other build etc, one day while it was raining Richard went into the water and found a shark, richard could kill him and everyone considered him a hero. The days passed and he steal the girlfriend of his friend from there began the tension between the people but when a shark killed one person did not know what to do because they did not want to anybody know their secret island and they let that the man who had been sick died in the jungle.

·         If you had the opportunity to live this adventure how would it be?

If I had the opportunity to live this adventure i would try to enjoy it to the fullest, do all some crazy things , go in search of new things and experiences every day, and in the same form as the protagonist i would try to seek pleasure in everything, in short words would do what I pleased, but I am sure that nothing of this would find paradise, because for me that's algorithm perfect, and obviously than with this world so corrupt and damaged is impossible to find.

·         What is the message of the movie?

The film suggests that paradise doesnt exist when depends the hands of other, which may be confused with pleasure and happiness, where usually we needs others,for example the persons that cherish . The idea of perfection not can depend of our environment and much less of the other people , because in any moment these persons can disappoint and will affect your form of see the things and the idea of perfection that tapeworm.
The protagonist says , that all persons create their own paradise in the way they want and with this a person are looking form find the perfection , since their forms of life and see the world have influence in this perfection.

We conclude that it probably occurs is that are confusing the concept of paradise and happiness, but it is a good history for all that suggests, everything to which it points, for all that is criticized in ironic form, can see a society that are pesimistic that says that we are all imperfect and the paradise doesnt exist... or maybe we not know to find the paradise . The last thought of Richard, when he is in the cafe is the same. However, what it does is convert the collective paradise and objetive in something subjetive , and is tipical in the time when we live .
